Travels 2006/07

Palma

My work was selected for 1st Biennal International de Ceramica, Marratxi, Mallorca in May.

Estonia

My next trip was to Estonia in July to take part in the 6th International Symposium of Wood-fired Ceramics in Kohila, a small town 40 Kms from Tallinn

The River Kelia flowed past the grounds of Tohisoo Manor House where we all lived and worked

Tallinn is a beautiful place - the Old Town, in particular, is well worth a visit.

Riga, Latvia
I travelled to Riga in Latvia to attend the 42nd General Assembly of the International Academy of Ceramics in August.

Cuba

I spent most of the month of December in Camaguey, Cuba, taking part in the 5th International Ceramics Symposium.  This is a typical street scene in Camaguey.

Taxis in Havana

One of the Squares in Havana that has been mostly renovated.  The building in a state of dereliction is because the inhabitants do not wish to be move.

Paris March 2007
My travels in 2007 began with a trip to Paris where I was exhibiting with 4 other Designer/Makers from Ireland in "Ballade Irlandais" in Galerie Embargo.
